Meet Miss B!
Mrs. Brittany "Miss B" Rumph is an Educator, Entrepreneur, Professional Opera Singer and Multi-genre Vocalist/Songwriter. She is a native of Rochester, NY where she holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Performance (2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Teacher Education (2021 with certification) from Roberts Wesleyan College. Mrs. Rumph also holds a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College (2018) of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. She has been actively teaching and tutoring for 10 years in the classroom setting and privately. While "Miss B's" main degrees were in music, she has since crossed over to serve the students in the Edison, Philadelphia, Houston, and Rochester areas. In the Rochester City School District, Mrs. Rumph has worked as a Home Hospital Teacher (K-12 & Special Education), and long-term vacancy substitute teacher for Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, Music and Special Education since 2016. She has designed online virtual music classes and in-school music programs for STEM Academy for Young Kids in Edison, NJ and the Rochester City School District. At STEM, she also served as a supplemental learning teacher for Preschool-2nd Grade. In Special Education, she has worked as both a Teaching Assistant and Substitute Teacher at special education agencies Mary Cariola, and BOCES. Mrs. Rumph's private clientele have received SPED services in the subject areas of music, ELA, and specialized IEP goals. In addition to her work in public and private schools, Mrs. Rumph was the Summer Employment Specialist Supervisor of the EPIC Drama Program for 14-15 years old students through Action for a Better Community, Inc in 2019. Through this program she mentored and provided job and life skills training for middle school students building their professional portfolios. Her ability to tailor broad curriculum to her students needs has given families the hope of seeing their scholars soar.
Mrs. Rumph's teaching experience allows her to specialize in multiple subjects. The main categories of her specialties include English Language Arts (including Reading, Writing & Spelling), Math, Music, Science, History and foundational Special Education. She currently resides in Rochester, NY with her husband, Mark Rumph, a certified Life Coach, Minister, and Founder of ReMarkable Life Coaching.
