Miss B's Table Etiquette & Policies
Please review our private policies and procedures before booking your session with Miss B. It is the responsibility of all parent/guardians and students to read these statements and agree to our terms. If our terms of agreement form is not submitted upon booking request, no session will be rendered. Miss B's Tutoring Table has put the following policies in place to optimize your child's learning experience.
Terms of Agreement
-
Timeliness:
Please be on time for your child's session. A grace period of 5 minutes will be given to those who notify us in advance. However, this time cannot be made up due to our continuous schedule. We suggest arriving 5-10 minutes before your session begins to allow time for getting buzzed in and settled.
-
Cancellation Policy:
A no fee make-up session will be given if you need to cancel for any reason at least 24 hours in advance. Should you cancel within 24 hours, MBTT reserves the right to withhold any session fee due to "no shows" or non-emergent cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled session. MBTT also reserves the right to determine what is a considerable emergency. -
Session Payment
All sessions must be paid in FULL in advance (before the session begins). This can be done in person or via MBTT Online Store located here. If you are enrolled in our installment program, each payment will be due at the beginning of each session. -
Installation Program:
MBTT's Installment program is designed to help families better afford tutoring through recurring payments. If for any reason you cannot pay your agreed installment plan, please contact us immediately to help with finding a solution. There will be a late fee of $25 for all installments that are not paid per the agreement. Please note that those enrolled in the installment plan are NOT ELIGIBLE for additional session discounts.
-
COVID-19 Session Procedures:
All students and families must be buzzed into the Andrews Building upon arrival. As you take the elevator to the 4th Floor, you will sign your student in at the door and wait in the waiting area should you choose to stay. All students will be required to maintain social distancing protocols mandated by New York State due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This means ALL STUDENTS must wear a mask during each session. MBTT sanitizes all areas within student contact between each session. Students will be encouraged to use hand sanitizers before and after each session to further stop the potential spread of the virus. MBTT reserves the right to cancel all or any session due to a tutee showing any symptom of COVID-19. -
Behavior Policy:
MBTT is a learning center designed with your child's needs in mind. Any potential, known behavioral issues that have the potential to affect your child's session must be communicated BEFORE the session appointment. We currently have a three step escalation system in which we allow students to have three behavioral warnings before they are withdrawn from tutoring services. PLEASE NOTE - if your student is withdrawn from MBTT for non-SPED behavioral warnings, you will NOT receive any refund of services paid for any remaining sessions. This is in place to ensure the responsibility of both our parents/guardians and students to create a safe learning environment. -
"Learning Your Way" Promise:
Each student will be given an appropriate pre-assessment of each subject they are enrolled for to determine proficiency level. This pre-assessment will be discussed in detail with you at the initial consultation conference. Here at MBTT, our promise to you is a safe, specialized learning environment in which your child can thrive. While we do not offer "refunds" on our services, we realize that it may take some scholars longer than expected to achieve measurable goals. For this reason, we have included the "Learning Your Way" Promise of no fee extended learning sessions (up to 3) should you need them upon the end of the July-August session. To be eligible, you must have at least 5 consecutive tutoring sessions during any duration with us. -
In-Home/Public Place Session Regulations:
In order to have Miss B tutor your child in your home or public location, you must be sure to have the following: 1. Table and 2 Chairs, 2. Wifi/Internet Access, 3. Socially Distant area for Tutoring (such as a Patio or office room), 4. Household environment conducive for learning, 5. Parent/Guardian (over 18 years of age) present at ALL TIMES. These requirements are NON-NEGOTIABLE. Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in the immediate cancellation of your session without a makeup. If you are selecting a public place to have tutoring, you are not required to have a parent/guardian present for the duration. However, you MUST be prompt in picking up your child upon the completion of the session. Failure to do so will result in a late fee of $20. -
Session Appointment Booking:
Once you have registered your child here and purchased your session online, you will be promptly contacted to schedule your session appointment with Miss B. Please allow 24-48 hours of processing time when trying to book a session. If you need to book an immediate session, please contact us directly via our Contact page or email.
